[Notes]:Tripotassium Glycyrrhizinate is a natural sweetener, which is 80-180 sweeter than sucrose. It is widely used in soy source and tobacco.
[Product Properties]
Tripotassium Glycyrrhizinate is roughly 50-200 times sweeter than sugar. Although sweet, the taste of glycyrrhizin is different from that of sugar. The sweetness of glycyrrhizin has a slower onset than sugar, and lingers in the mouth for some time. Unlike the artificial sweetener aspartame, glycyrrhizin maintains its sweetness under heating. Glycyrrhizin, one of the main components found in licorice, is believed to contribute to the herb's healing properties. Laboratory studies have reported that glycyrrhizin reduces inflammation, promotes secretion of mucous (usually through coughing), soothes irritation, protects the stomach and gastrointestinal tract, and stimulates the activity of the adrenal glands (regulates cortisol, the stress hormone)
[Applications]:
Flavoring Sweetening
[Dosage and Toxicity]:
At present, no toxicitical data on Tripotassium Glycyrrhizinate is reported. StabilityThe shelf life in sealed, original containers under normal storage conditions is at least 36 months after the date of manufacture.
Storage Conditions
